Distribution Energy Systems

The research group Distribution Energy Systems deals with the design of future distribution grids and the integration of new and innovative generators and consumers such as heat pumps, e-mobility, PV systems and wind energy.

Our focus is on the development of smart grids and comprehensive grid analyses, including scenario-based assessments and time-resolved grid simulations. We also work on integrating storage systems and developing operating strategies for the efficient utilisation of flexibility. We attach particular importance to grid-friendly operation in order to guarantee the stability and reliability of the energy supply.
