To celebrate the 10th anniversary of our Chair, we invited the entire team on a special company trip to Vienna. An exciting and varied program awaited us there, which perfectly combined technology, culture and team spirit.

We had the opportunity to experience energy technology applications at first hand. This included a tour of Wien Energie's district cooling plant, which impressively demonstrates how regional supply and synergies can succeed, as well as a guided tour of the APG substation and control room in the south-east of Vienna – an essential infrastructure for a stable energy supply.

Our teamwork skills were put to the test in an escape room. We demonstrated teamwork at its best in exciting puzzles and solved some tricky tasks together.

Our physical well-being was also well catered for: at dinner in the Nepalese restaurant YAK+YETI, we embarked on a short culinary journey to Nepal with lassi, momos and traditional cushions.

A visit to the charming Christmas market on Karlsplatz and a walk through the Prater rounded off our trip perfectly.

This company outing was a great mix and it demonstrated perfectly what defines us as a chair: commitment, collaboration and the joy of innovation. The Chair of Energy Network Technology can look back on a decade of scientific excellence:

We have proudly produced over 65 master's theses, 14 doctoral theses, more than 40 successful projects and around 200 scientific publications. These achievements are a significant contribution to the further development of energy technology and to shaping a sustainable future.

A big thank you to our team and to everyone who has made the last 10 years so special and successful. New challenges lie ahead of us that demand motivation, creativity and excellence - here's to the next decade!
